Stand-up 1 offers an introduction to stand-up comedy writing and performing. For both beginners and comedians with some experience, this class will teach you how to get started, how to improve your material and how to become a better stand-up. Learn to write jokes, tell amusing anecdotes, develop material and find your unique comic voice! Tips will also be shared on how to get started in the St. Louis comedy scene!

Even if your goals do not include performing stand-up comedy, this class will help you feel more confident as a public speaker and be more comfortable on stage. This four-week class also includes an opportunity to perform in a Student Showcase after which, you will receive notes on your performance!
