Some of these programs were initiated as lab team projects or ideas inspired by the Community Arts Training (CAT) Institute. For other programs, CAT Institute graduates have been involved, and have helped to shape the content and influence the direction.

The Learning Tree Intergenerational Center The Learning Tree Intergenerational Center has been operating since 1971. The Fine Arts program began in 1995 and has been improving every year thereafter.  
The Photography Project The Photography Project is modeled after the pioneering community photography programs of internationally recognized photographer, Wendy Ewald and is sponsored by the Public Policy Research Center at the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
