Curatorial Statement
Featuring works by Laura Beard Aeling, Michael Byron, Christopher Kahler, Ron Laboray, Barry Leibman, and Gary Passanise. This exhibit seeks to investigate how these six abstract painters have used the materials and process of painting to shape the image of the work. While all of these artists clearly have other references in their work, the common theme is this use of form and surface tension created by the paint.
