The Missouri Coalition for the Environment celebrates its 40th anniversary with an exhibition of art from more than 60 regional painters, sculptors, woodworkers, photographers and other artists -- men and women working in a range of styles, from representational to abstract, with recycled materials and with natural matter as well as with more traditional media. The exhibit is called Art for an Endangered Planet - or eARThworks for short.
The exhibition opens on Friday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m. and culminates on Saturday, May 30 with an art auction/fundraiser. Donated works at the exhibit will be auctioned off, mostly in a silent auction, while guests enjoy a wide array of appetizers from local restaurants and caterers. Cost to attend is $35 per person, drinks will be only $2. For more information about the art auction/fundraiser, please visit www.moenviron.org and click on the eARThworks logo.
